in his comings and goings
eddie the e has found himself
raised from the dead
he’s happy to be back
right where he belongs
with a pen in his hand
and words tingling in his fingertips
happy cake and candles
blow up the balloons
it’s your birthday
the sun celebrates with you
beaming with joy
at home in the east
roasting with the fervor
of a convert
life
has signed
a long term lease
love
is flapping
its orange black wings
gathering
strength
sipping
nectar
ambrosia
anemones
asters
auricles tell nothing
but good news
vibrant blue orbs
flash with fires
of the future
and life has no limits
i baptize you
in the name of the Father
and of the Son
and of the Holy Ghost
Inspired by e.e. cummings, and written back in September, 2019 (when I focused my efforts on poetry).
I like the image here:

Amazing poem - and so evocative of the feeling and cadence of Cummings work! I actually included Cummings in my series because he's one of my favorite authors 💖
